PONEY PONEY
Cross The Fader
12" vinyl
Mec, we've been waiting such a loooooooong time for this one, t'as mis l'temps !
PONEY PONEY's first official release is here, on Perspex Recordings.
The Parisian trio consists of Son Of Grunge Antoine Hilaire (vocals, guitar), repressed funk fiend Florent Lyonnet (bass) and vicious gangsta rapper in disguise Samuel Nicolas (drums).
What can you expect from such a diverse bunch? Thank god no fusion, but straight (and not in a non-homo way) Pop Rock, made by the French, sung in English, and influenced by all the good stuff good people with good taste like, sort of a common ground everybody would agree on - the soundtrack to a smooth rainy day ride on Noah's ark, if you will.
If you've been following the Arcade Mode 7" series (you have, right?), you already know their song Junior on AM707.
True OGs, though, remember Poney Poney as one of the founding bands of the late Musclorecords label (along with the likes of Tahiti Boy and Justice - not a bad club, huh?).
So here it is, at last, the new real true very concrete undisputably actual Poney Poney single, produced by X. de Rosnay, remixed by Bitchee Bitchee Ya Ya Ya and Headman.
